When can I enter a team?

We will start accepting entries from the 1st November for the following August Bank Holiday Weekend Hockey Festival, each year.

Please fill the form out if you are interested in taking part in the various competitions on offer… If the one you want to enter is full we can put you on a reserve list in case any of the teams withdraw from the competition for any reason.

Before you start…

Before you start daydreaming about winning the Southport Se7ens Hockey Festival, we need you to snap out of it and focus on the important stuff.

You must read the information provided below with laser-like precision before submitting your entry. Don’t forget, you also need to cough up a Security Bond (Check Below for details) soon after submitting your form.

And, of course, we can’t forget that this is a memorial festival in honour of Norman Todd, so bring your Festival vibes and your sense of humour to honour the late great Mr.Todd. So, stop procrastinating and get on with it – We want to see you down to celebrate with us!

The Festival

  • The Se7ens Hockey Festival: 29th and 30th August 2025.
  • Format: 7-a-Side Round Robin or Pool and Knockout*
  • Category: Men’s, Women’s and Mixed.
  • Camping available, please see information below.
  • The S&BeerFest: August Bank Holiday Weekend (Friday to Monday).

*format will be finalised once all entries are confirmed.

Secure Your Place

A non-refundable payment of £50, per team, will be required upon confirmation of team entries via email this is to secure your place(s) at the festival. This will go towards your final entry fee less any discounts for multi team entry. Please check out our terms and conditions for details.

Who doesn’t like a discount? To thank you for taking part and entering more than one team we will be offering a ‘Multi-Team Entry Discount’ for each additional team entered… This is on top of the Early Bird and Late Bloomer Entry costs you see below.

Early Bird Offer

Early Bird: £200 per team (10 Players Squad)

Ends: 31st May (Full Payment Also Due on This date)

  • Min 10 Players Per Team with an option to add up to 5 more players at £20pp (Max Squad 15)
  • Includes 1 Day of Hockey and Weekend Entry to the S&Beer Festival*
    • Men’s or Women’s Teams Playing on Saturday
      • Enter Mixed Team & get a % Discount* If already Playing Men’s or Women’s.

Late Bloomer Entry

Standard £250 per team (10 Players Squad)

Ends: 1st July (Full Payment Also Due on This date)

  • Min 10 Players Per Team with an option to add up to 5 more players at £25pp (Max Squad 15)
  • Includes 1 Day of Hockey and Weekend Entry to the S&Beer Festival*
    • Men’s or Women’s Teams Playing on Saturday

Camping

Camping is included in the cost of entry.

Teams will be allowed to arrive late Friday late afternoon, 3:30pm on wards*, to pitch tents ready for the hockey festivals’ start on Saturday Morning. If you do arrive on Friday you can always take advantage of going to the beer festival on the Friday evening. The pitch is yours until Monday Morning deadline for leaving is 12pm*, so you have time for a layin. If you wish to stay for the Beer Festival Weekend, whether you’re taking part in the The Mixed hockey on the Sunday or not.

Participation Restrictions

If you want to get into the Beer Festival venue and party like it’s 1999, you better wear your wristbands like your life depends on it (well, your party life anyway). And, just a heads up, you need to be at least 14 years old to get in on the action. If you’re under 18, you better bring your favorite adult with you – no, not your imaginary friend, a responsible one who will make sure you don’t do anything too crazy. We want you to have fun but also keep you safe too. So, slap on your wristbands and bring your designated grown-up to the Beer Festival venue. Let the good times roll (not on the ground like footballers)!

Overseas Team?
Entering a Team from outside the UK?

Southport Se7ens and it’s organisational team “DO NOT” support visa applications for taking part in our hockey festival. If you would like to enter a team for the festival you will have to support your own entry to the UK. You will be required to pay the entry fee in full once your place has been confirmed regarless of deadline date(s) in place.

We will however send a letter to all participating overseas teams to confirm full payment and a reserved place at the festival. No other supporting documentation will be provided.

Please note: No refund will be given if you/your team/club are unsuccessful in your visa application to enter the UK to participate at the festival after the deadline date sent to you via email.

Heads Up…

Hey there, hockey enthusiasts! Just one final thing… We just wanted to give you a heads up that we reserve the right to switch things up at any point leading up to and during the big weekend, anything you see with a * might be effected but not exclusively – we like to keep you on your toes. And, just so you know, the game time may be extended or reduced based on how many teams we’ve got in the running. We don’t want anyone getting too comfortable out there.

Now, we know what you’re thinking – “where’s the free booze?” Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Players will receive a voucher for one free drink on both Saturday and/or Sunday of the festival depending on the format.

Finally, when you arrive at the festival, we’ll give you a snazzy wristband – but hold on to your hats, because we’re only handing it to the team organiser. We don’t want any wristband mix-ups or shenanigans. So, get ready for a wild ride, folks!

Which tournament(s) will you be entering?
Southport Se7ens Reserve the right to limit the numbers of teams entered by a club, to make it fairer on other entrants. They may also reserve the right to refuse entry to any team/Club without explanation.

Playing Kit

Please let us know what colour you will be playing in at the Festival.

This is imporant even if you will not be playing in your club kit and will be getting a bespoke touring kit made. If the Latter then please just let us know ASAP once your place has been confirmed.

We're very excited to offer Camping again this year but if that's not your cup of tea then accommodation options are plentiful in and around the Southport area, we recommend checking the local hotels and B&Bs for some great offers they do especially when booking early. If you would like to camp please indicate how many tents you would potentially be bringing and we will get back to you on availability. Please also note that there is an extra charge for each tent pitch which is indicated in the section marked 'Camping' to the left of this form.
Camping?
Note: Please specify how many persons your tents will sleep in each... e.g... 2 Person Tent, 4 Person Tent, 6 Person Tent etc... This is just to get an idea of space required for your team.
A non refundable deposit of £50 for each team entered, which goes towards your entry, is required once you have received confirmation by the organiser.

Entry Acknowlegement

By submitting the entry form you acknowledge that you have read and understood the terms and conditions of S7s and have explained or will explain them to all participants associated with the team you represent before the Festival begins.

Conformation and Payment

Confirmation of your place will be sent via email with payment details.

If places are full you will be asked if you would like to be put on the reserve list.
