Hey there, hockey family! With a very successful tournament at the 2024 August bank holiday weekend? Your favourite tournament hosts are going to be back in 2025! We’re already getting lots of interest for this years event, It seems that we haven’t lost our touch the teams that took part in 2024 really did enjoy themselves, which we are super happy about. We’ll be back and ready to rumble in honour of our 13th year hosting (Norman Todd Memorial Festival) this shindig.
Same as 2024, We’re running the festival at the same time as S&BeerFest to create one heck of a weekend of hockey, music and entertainment (drinking).
That’s right, we’re merging our passions again – hockey, beer and music – to create one epic weekend, they don’t say Hockey has a Beer problem for no reason right lol… We’re talking non-stop fun, laughter, and, of course, a little, friendly fun festival vibes on the pitch.
So, buckle up, get your kit on and get ready for a weekend you won’t forget. Don’t forget to practice your skills because you’re in for a wild ride. We’re ready to make some more great memories and have a fantastic tournament… Are you ready?

Ladies and gents, hold onto your hats because This year’s festival is going to be a fantastic one again – celebrating our third year of doing a seven-a-side hockey festival extravaganza! That’s right, it’s going to be another year of top-festival hockey which is giving you more of what you love, entertainment, banter and good old-fashioned fun hockey.
Now, we know what you’re thinking – “why mess with a good thing?” So we haven’t, we’re all about pushing boundaries and trying new things but also not about reinventing the wheel. Just like last year, this means we can fit more teams into the mix, which means even more opportunities to show off your silky skills, on and off the pitch.
But wait… there’s more excitement coming your way! We’re thrilled to announce that we’ll be offering camping at the hockey festival grounds. Yes, you heard it right! You can now extend the fun beyond the field and immerse yourself in the full festival experience under the starlit sky.
So, get your kit ready and start practicing those fancy moves, we mean skills… It’s going to be a weekend of non-stop action, laughter, camaraderie, and now, camping adventures. We can’t wait to see you there!

The Hockey Festival

The Hockey Festival is organised by Southport Hockey Club and is a memorial event for Norman Todd who was a stalwart of the club for many years.
This year’s event includes:
- Camping (Friday to Monday)
- Men’s Se7ens (Saturday)
- Women’s Se7ens (Saturday)
- Mixed Se7ens (Sunday)

The Beer Festival is organised by Southport & Birkdale Sports Club and it will be the 4th year this has been held and it is the highlight of the area and the club.

- 15 Beers, Ales and Ciders
- Live Music as well as DJ’s throughout the Day and Evening(s)
- 3 Separate Bars offering various beverages
- Food Stalls with various options

Hockey Festival will be played on a sand dressed Astroturf at Greenbank High School which is only a 10min walk from the Beer Festival venue at Southport & Birkdale Sports Club.
